Shell Bay to Swanage for The Wave Project
Updated: Sep 4

On the 6th April 2024, a group of hikers set off from Shell Bay for the 12km route to Swanage, in order to raise money for The Wave Project.
The weather was fairly gloomy, but the views were beautiful, and the vibes were high. We had a little pit stop at Knoll Beach before continuing to the star of the show, Old Harry's Rocks. The trail into Swanage was pretty muddy, but we made it down and enjoyed a lunch in Swanage before hopping on the open-air bus back to Shell Bay.
This hike and fundraiser was organised by Amber, in memory of her Dad who she lost to suicide in 2021. Her way of turning grief into something positive. Together we raised a whopping £537.50 for The Wave Project.
"I chose to fundraise for The Wave Project because I truly believe in the healing power of the ocean. By offering surf therapy to young kids in need, they pave the way to a brighter future. Last year, my brother participated in one of their courses and seeing his smile at the end of each session was priceless."
